We are delighted to have taken part in the African Carribean Franchise Exhibition which took place on Friday 4th July 2025 at the Lagos Intercontinental Hotel.
Our Partner Seyi Akinwunmi and Senior Associate/ Practice manager Oyinkan Idowu were part of the conversation on the key players in the industry and the legal frameworks for Franchising across Borders. The exhibition, the first of its kind attracted policy makers, Real Estate investors, Tech experts and various industry experts.
The Franchising industry is a largely untapped market that can potentially impact over 1.4 billion people across Africa alone.
The theme of the Exhibition was “Driving African Caribbean Product Market and Branding Expansion through Franchise Development, Alignment and Standardisation.”
Oyinkan spoke on the legal frameworks of franchising and was part of the panel discussion that showcased the different players in the franchising ecosystem across Africa and The Caribbean. With the various initiatives on government policies as well as private sector efforts, it is clear that the spotlight is on the Franchising ecosystem.
The industry has the potential to create economic empowerment from SMEs to industries and may just be another economic revolution across Africa as a whole.
We look forward to the conversations and above all actions in the nearest future.
